UV stable , doesn’t mean resistant!Thanks for pointing out that most synthetic lines are UV stable, that was one of my concerns because I’m not interested in spending the amount of money necessary to by a new line ever couple years due to UV exposure. I also hadn’t considered the fact that the synthetic line floats.
It is widely known that synthetic lines are affected by sun light , even if you cover them !
So in short the line will degrade its resistance over time .
How much ?
This depends from many factors . Latitude where it is exposed , humidity , heat ecc .
If you plan to use your recovery line seldomly or as others have already said in harsh ground I would go steel .
Have double attention while you handel it .
But steel will have a very long life , and does the job .
