The easiest place to get a set of aisin hubs is a Junkyard. Look for a bunch of old wrecked yotas and grab the hubs off one of them.

soulds like a plan, school will run my life for the next 2 months, but soon I will be able to take some time and go parts looking.

maby a slant six into a 4runner???

So even mini truck solid axles are 27 spline? That would mean I need to find the hubs out of the junkyard off an 8in axle?

slant 6 can be tuned:D

I can see why they slanted it. Looks very easy to work on. The exhaust is not directly under the intake stuff. The starter looks easy to get at. A good design, but I would like to know what you could do to a carb slant six.

is this the begining of another forum?

do it then put it in the "non oem" thread.

please go to a junk yard or find an IFS for junk or cheap it is NOT immpossable, pull the hubs and shafts (here it comes more chat) for spares.

I think this issue has had enough.....MHO

there is also 2 I6s the old 50's "powerwagon" and the old 70's -80's (226ci ?) slant 6 "powerwagon" the old 50's was 2MK a flat head, and I think it was slant to, try lugging that thing around all (90-100deg) day on the trail.

the 2nd slant 6 is one of the best motors ever made NMHO.

which one we talkin bout willis?

iron on iron = one B.A (sota like a 2f-3f.....;) )

my guess is the axle under that P.W was "of epic size" and thus a bigger hub and thus a heavier duty hub...................put a "toyota" warn in place of that "epic" warn.............if you could, see my point?

the junkyards around here are not junk yards at all. They are really metal recycling centers. Ann Arbor is a very rich area, so most people have brand new cars. Not many good junk yards around here. Next time I am in toledo during the week I would go down there on a parts run. The place is supposted to be huge, but I have never been there. I have many parts I have been looking for, everything from headlights for my project car, to doors for the 4runner, and hubs for the cruiser. Would take the trailer along and get all kinds of goodies.
