Dont blame you.. but this is a survival knife thread.. not a knife porn thread..

all joke aside you have some awesome blades!!

I would be willing to bet more Randall knives have been used for actual survival than most other brands.

Randall made knives are one of the only knives to have ever left the planet, even Gary Powers was carrying one when his plane was shot down.

I really like the Tops stuff...hearty, made in USA

I agree. A big survival knife basically says, "I have a small pecker"

Here is a Northern California "survival knife"

I agree if it's a piece of garbage. Having a knife and knowing how to properly use it are two different things. If you've ever had the pleasure of owning or using a large, properly crafted blade then you know how versatile it is. Personally, I would rather have a large knife of quality steel than a an axe or hatchet - if I could only have one. Both is better. Better still is a cruiser to take you where you need to go and haul your crap too. Then the knife can be used to cut the bread and flip the steaks!

I have use an Ontario survival machete a Leatherman as the usual carry. After that I dont have much of a use. I’m in the Midwest so its pretty easy to walk out if you have an issue. The survival machete is hands down the most the useful piece of cutlery I have ever owned outside of my Leatherman.

Or, sit in the Air and Space Museum at the Smithsonian.

Or, had a song written about it:

(First Verse):

"My father had a Randall knife
My mother gave it to him
When he went off to WWII
To save us all from ruin
If you've ever held a Randall knife
Then you know my father well
If a better blade was ever made
It was probably forged in hell"

I've got several; just gave my #1-6 to my nephew as a bequeathe. My Model 23 or Model 8 are camping knives; each has done at least one elk and several deer and wild pigs. My hunting knife is now a Yukon Skinner (Model 29?) that goes with my OM Blackhawk in 45 Colt or my Reeder custom 454 Super Blackhawk.
