Not 100% on this but i don't belive you "MUST HAVE" a flag to play in the dunes in a truck/ car. I belive this is only required for smaller rigs ie: quads, bikes rails ect.

-Matt

That was my understanding from last year as well. I didn't have one on my rig.

Just for the record, the flag is Not needed, I Know....I was just asking

hey bud, how bought giving me a call when you got some free time so we can plan this trip. i dont think you would be down to meet at the house? maybe at my shop? i cant wait to see all our cruisers together again. photo opp!!

Hi Jim:
I see you suggested Garcia Ridge. Great.
There are a lot of trails on the other side of Pozo too, further NE, towards Las Chiches etc. You don't recommend going there?

Many dune areas require a flag on ALL vehicles. I'm not sure about Pismo specifically. I bolt mine onto my ARB front bumper, which has perfect holes on the top (for light mounts). I'm not sure about a stock rig. I'm sure that $1.50 well spent in an Ace Hardware store could make you a quick fix. I've done that for other rigs.

Count us in!

Hey All!, new to the group so I figured a local trip is mandatory.
I will be coming up from Ventura on Saturday morning and plan on spending the night. We were in Pismo in April, I attached a pic of my stocker '94 with the bike racks on even. Don't laugh too hard, still managed to catch a little air!

Bringing Tri Tip, Cazadores,, oh yeah, the lady, dog and some camping gear if I can fit it in next to the grill. :D

Looking forward to meeting you all, and coming home with a big list of mods!

Oh, Said the magic words Tri Tip...sounds good to me, Look forward to meeting u. I'll be looking for the bike rack, or just follow my nose.

Sam

Don't kid yourself about mod mania.

I was at 2004 SnT with a stock '94 like yours.

I now have a Kaymar rear bumper with tire carrier, 285 Bridgestone Revos, Slee skid plate and Hana Sliders. CO2 tank will be on board in about a week.

Exercise extreme caution and bring a drool rag as you walk around camp and look at all the spectacular rigs that will be there!

You have been WARNED. :D

Well said Brent... well said. Just ask Victor... I mean Biff... if you don't belive Brent.

Bike rack wont be on. Look for 6'4" goateed dude with ear to ear grin and dropped jaw!
How does the Pozo Run work out? Will my stocker with running boards get hammered?
Thinking of getting a jockey box and some small kegs from the local breweries to bring up. is that kosher for an event? or should I keep it on the down low?

The Pozo Run is pretty easy. In fact, it's more fun if wet. Otherwise it's just a forest service road. Beautiful scenery!

If you want to keep it hidden i'll be there with my OD green trailer, and would be oh so helpful in the stashing/drinking of your brew :D

As for the flag thing, only non-street vehicles have to have them. If you have a License plate on your pig, you're ok without one.

JIM if you need me on thursday let me know.

Can't wait to see all of you guys again, My FJ 44Magnum is ready to play!

 SETHZILLA!

Ok, I have to wonder because I only see guys talking on this forum. I've snuck on as NorCalSam serveral times and never see women. Aren't there any cruiser chicks out there? After all, as much time as he spends on this forum, how could I not want to check it out. It addicting. Maybe I need my own atavar. NorCal Sam talks alot about my cruiser. Hope to meet some great people at Pizmo and see some cool mods. I keep tracking our snorkel shipment on Fed EX and it has been back and forth from sac to chico twice. I think they must be fondeling it or something at the warehouse's. Looking forward to pizmo. Norcal Sams wife, Teresa

That's a cool post.
Teresa, there are alot of women that go to Surf N Turf or on trips. The norcal women made a landcruiser forum called 'landcruiserwives' on yahoo I think...(sorry dont have the link) but you can meet them at SnT!

Agreed - it's more fun wet. My son and I did it this past summer for yucks after visiting Ken Hanna for sliders and swinging back by the Pozo Saloon for lunch. It's just a dusty fire road in the summer. The creek/stream/river on the Pozo side was nothing but a trickle.

PabloVTA - I ran this last year in a bone stock OEM '94. No worries at all unless you are trying to keep up with the NorCal guys! They haul arse over everything. :D

FirstToy and PK, you guys still awake. Dont you guys work or go to school tomorrow? Hows the 80 James? Seems like youre having a firesale with the Runner. Im anticipating a built up 80 at SnT - debutante showing for her? :D
Joe A.

dang, some of us work late! hehe
The 80 is coming along, it's fun. It will be the first offroading for it at SnT, that's good luck I think :)
It's only a few weeks old-to-me but it's already had the golden touch by fellow Cruiserheads so I consider it "blessed" for it's new life w/ me! :D

It will be good to see everyone, esp the SLO guys!!
