Ok, so what is a nOOb like myself to do upon arrival? Just pick a spot anywhere or are there volunteers organizing? I wouldnt want to set up camp on the wrong spot. Bringing the family so I need to look like I know what I just got them into :p

ETA to PB is Thursday early evening. We'd stay in a hotel if setting up camp at night is out of the question.
 
Drive onto the beach, head south, see cruisers at pole 6, find a comfy patch of sand and set-up camp.

Piece of cake. Lot's of friendly cruiser people to assist or answer questions. Look for the sign post and Surf N Turf Zócalo and stop in to say hello.

flyin solo huh? i might be s well. i should have a few other yotas ( non Land cruisers ) coming down with me though. what day you leavin sac juan?
 
well the wife stole the 4runner :doh: so i will be there in the work truck with the quad, can i ride the quad in the poker run? thanks james

500 ordered, on 8' fiberglass poles...one free to any MOD List registrant :)

these are samples...9" x 12" orange mesh flags, black screen on one side...

If I recall from Moab a few years ago you like a fine cigar on occassion. I'll look you up.

I have been looking around Calgary for one of those and it seems the oil patch crowd will pay about $160 for of those with a light on top. I just about gagged.

Do they need any mounting hardware?

And you will need a 1/2 in hole in a tab
 
Duct tape or zip ties work for mounting :) The flag is on top of a straight 5/16" fiberglass pole...no bottom mount...

I have what's effectively a CB spring mounted to a tab via 1/2" hole...where you would normally then screw in the CB antenna is instead a 5/16" hole with a set thumb screw to hold the flag in place. Works great, the flex saves the pole and it's seconds to install/remove...but, my cost is $15ea just for those...

If there is demand, I'll pick up a few to have available for sale...will post a phone pic in a second...
