More delivery man in brown horror

Since these are parts for my Landcruiser, I'm including them in my unboxing tech thread.

Please note. It is NOT the shippers fault that any of this is happening. I do not blame either of the companies that have shipped things to me recently. They are all good people and packaged their stuff well.

I'm having a problem with our local package delivery service. I'm not sure how they picked me, but 3/6 boxes delivered in the last 10 days or so have been beat to :censor:. We're not talking, "oops it fell off the back of the truck while someone was loading it." We're talking beaten HARD. I have a call in to the shipper. They are supposed to have a manager call me Monday to set up a time to come out and witness the carnage and the further unboxing.

Since a picture is worth a thousand words and you all are into making flat surfaces crumply, I'm going to post them up.

-THE FOLLOWING IS NOT THE FAULT OF THE PEOPLE WHO SENT ME THE BOXES- I don't blame them, and I'd rather not see any further suggestions to that effect.

Now for the cardboard carnage continuation.

First, my new radiator that arrived today. The first picture doesn't look so bad... until you realize that the corners are now all round. Notice the accordian creases in the ends. How does that happen?

And the pain goes on. Obviously I've spent a heap of dough on parts recently.

This is kind of hard to see in the pictures so I took them at 3 different angles to try to get the flash to change the contrast.

If you look 2" to the right of the holes you can see some patterned darkened areas. The toe is to the top right, the heel is bottom left. Its a boot print.

So, I decided to inspect my snorkel box more carefully. I had already let the sender know that it had been abused en route and was waiting for UPS to call me back to let them know how uncool it was to do that to other peoples toys.

So, looking more closely at it...

The airbrush over the vendor's name is my editing. I do not blame either sender for what happened to these.

Notice how my snorkel's box is mashed on the end. It wasn't until I looked closer at it today to find...

Look just up and left of the purple "DO NOT DOUBLE STACK" sticker. Yep. Its another boot print.

How the :censor:? This box only weighs about 8 lbs. Apparently it was in the way...???

Thats it for this batch of boxes. The other 3 containing more parts and a couple of smallish skid plates were all fine and pristine.

Dont know about UPS but Fedex makes the shipper file the claim.....good luck.....one broken 8274 winch & 600 bucks went down the drain for dad:mad::mad::mad::mad:

WOW....

I can guarantee you that your boxes did not leave Amtoy looking that way...

Wow I am amazed at the damage.

Once the trained monkeys leave the dock with the goods all bets are off.

If we spent a bunch of money on armor plate the goods would be better protected and the shipping costs would double.

You pays your money and takes your pick.

Mark I would venture a guess that the destination people in your area do not give a damn because we do not see this type of carton damage on a regular basis. This is further supported by the condition of cartons shipped to you by other vendors.

I know it. Thats why I am trying to get the local UPS manager to come over on Monday to inspect the boxes before I open them.

Again, I don't blame you, Beno or anyone at American Toyota. There is something seriously wrong at UPS if 3/6 boxes get beaten and 2/6 get delivered with a boot print on them. Thats just nuts.

did you unpack everything to see if anything was damaged?

Several posts up the number $3700 was mentioned. Also several post reference CruiserDan (CDan) or beno at American Toyota [Albequerque, NM]. I know Onur (beno), and I've successfully ordered parts from Dan more than once. You won't find better pricing, service or advice.

I was wondering what my Supercharger box would look like after seeing all of these pics. Fortunately, my box arrived from American Toyota in pristine condition. I followed the tracking of the box compulsively everyday, and it did not come near Omaha. IT went from NM to Oklahoma to Kansas city (funny that is where it originated from 6 days earlier) to Iowa. It looks like your local UPS hub has some bone :censor:heads working there. It will be interesting to see what the manager says. Hopefully they will take care care of it because that is just ridiculous damage.
