Edit red, got the info I needed. ... Can someone give me a depth on the 1/2” npt plug I’ll need if I def have to retap my tcase filler plug? Found a few internal hex or external hex magnetic plugs online.

I managed to strip mine out the other day as well... tapped to 1/2 NPT this morning. Next time I have the T-case out I want to weld an AN fitting or something of that nature. I want more material there.

Funny I’m off to Ace number two for the tool. Got the tap and the plug. Suppose I could thread it in like that or the guy said use a pipe wrench. I’d like something at tad less potentially wobbly.

I got it. I can almost sit up under the truck w/ a headlamp on. I put a 5/8th socket on the end of the tap and used my 3/8 ratchet which worked fine. Course my battery died at that point. Took a few pics prior to beginning. Once done, added fluid cuz she was definitely dry. Tho I think I grabbed the wrong plug. I think it should be tapered but it’s straight and won’t go in so for now she’s got a wine cork stuffed in her. ;)
