I was wondering if those tires rubbed the rear fender wells - don't want to slice up those fancy tires.

The lips are rolled and finished smooth, I was a little worried about that too, but after a quick check, I think its been addressed.

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all!!

STLCA is sponsoring the Overland Nashville Holiday Meet Up and Toys for Tots toy/coat drive on December 12th at Mill Creek Overland in Nolensville. We hope to have a good STLCA representation.

Unlike recent years, the 2021 New Years Ride will not be an expedition style ride. We will be camping on the property of Coalmont OHV, an in progress off road park that the STLCA has a hand in helping build. We will be setting up camp on the park property and doing day runs into the cove on Friday and Saturday.

The cove isn’t as scary as some make it out to be, but quick changes in weather can change that statement just as quickly. Like Matt said, don’t go unprepared.

Does this mean it won't be as arduous/metal bending as @jynx alluded to? I've 33's and sliders but no real skids.....yet. On the Christmas list but probably won't get here and/or installed by 1/1.

@jynx, You and Erin should come with the GX. I may take Kathy’s if I have sliders on it by then.

Hummm... I want to go but don't have sliders on my GX yet. I' don't mind if the stock steps get banged up, but don't want door frame damage either. Know any local bolt-on sliders that I can get before then?

I have never been in/out on that end of the cove, so I don't know how that end is. A lot of the ride is one rounded river rocks, 6" or so in diameter, a good bit of dirt or mud thru the forest, but there are also places where there is just a big a$$ Boulder in the middle of the road and your options are go over it or drive over it. One of those is what got the tank skid on our GX.

I'd let @ugamurph give you guidance on what the park end of the trail looks like. The GX did fine except on that one flippin boulder, but the water was down when we were there, so the river crossings were middle wheel deep mostly. (So 12"-15") with one or 2 getting up close to the body.

Wow, 3 trucks loaded to the gills with toys and coats. Mill Creek and Nashville Overland did a great job with this one. The rti ramp run after the raffle was a good time. I didnt even get a count, but im gonna say 50+ rigs and well over a hundred folks showed up. Awesome, just awesome.

Only pic I got was of Sunday Bacon parked out front.

Great turnout and trucks from across the gambit, maybe @ugamurph got some good pics.

It was a good time. Once again, all the hard work that Nick with Overland Nashville put in paid off. There were enough toys and clothes donated to fill the cap covered bed of a Nissan Frontier and the rear seat and cargo area of an Xterra from floor to roof.
I didn’t take many pictures, but here’s a few.

It’s about that time of the month. Are we doing a January meet up? I’m up for any level event, I gotta get out of the house!

That awesome. The snow really makes it.

Here’s some pics. Most scenic wheeling I’ve ever been a part of. Love Windrock!
