Here is my old steering shaft from my first FJ40 Saginaw conversion. If you notice it has the spud shaft used by Wardens and others to connect to the box.

The shaft and joints are Flaming River. The spud shaft has the 13/16 x 36 splines.

The upper u-joint was welded to my steering stub, and I carefully cut the weld, but note it will have to be welded back onto your shaft stub where it comes out the firewall.

The lower shaft can be used as is, I don't claim the welds-they were made long ago at Warden's.

Also included is a new in box Flaming River lower joint with the DD on one side and the 13/16 x 36 spline to run your shaft directly to the steering box. This joint is difficult to find and itself costs $65.

SO with this set up you would have many options for your steering. This shaft will get you from the fire wall to the box

I am asking for a $75 donation to the Dave West recovery fund, and the shipping paid to me. This includes the shaft, the stub shaft and the new joint.
