Here in the USA, the steering rack tension adjustment bolt on my 2005 LX absolutely has a lock nut on it. I'm unsure if adjusting that would fix your lack of return-to-center - that seems like an alignment issue? My cruiser does not auto centre and there is no free play in the steering so I was to adjust the tensioner bolt. Does anyone have a pic of the tensioner bolt other forums claim there is a locking nut ?
Many thanks and indeed it did have a locker nut and I have adjusted it which is somewhat better and will have the alignment done as suggestedHere in the USA, the steering rack tension adjustment bolt on my 2005 LX absolutely has a lock nut on it. ThanksI would suggest adding some castor to the front end, this should assist in a better return to center. I run 3.5 Degrees and have a very good return to center after sharp intersection turns.
