Yesterday I went to start my 2LT LJ77 and it kind of started but then stalled. Tried again but no luck, turned over fine but would not start.

Stepped on the "gas" pedal, tried using the "choke", not happening. One last try and low and behold, started fine. Went about running errands and not a single issue starting for the rest of the day.

Today, same issue, first start, kind of catches but stalls almost immediately. Eventually it starts and I'm good for the rest of the day.

What the heck? I'm hoping the more experienced can help with this problem. It always started with a touch of the key. Even in winter.

Any clues on what to look for or check?

Thanks

It sounds to me like you might have a small air leak in one of your fuel lines, and the system is loosing prime overnight. Try pumping the primer on top of the fuel filter housing the next time it happens. Also, some clear fuel line can allow you to see if there are any air bubbles in the fuel.

Tried a few pumps and start, stalled. Pumped it more and it started normal. So this looks like the problem. Now finding out where the air leak is should be challenging.

Thank you for the help.
