Square Motor Mount Orientation

And another thing....
On my '67 rebuild, I just put new motor mounts on, square in the front. I read that the fronts should be rotated 90 degrees from what i've done in this picture, but it doesn't fit when I tried- the bottom of the bracket on the engine blocks it. Am I missing something?

i'm thinking that it's 180* off.

Yes, but the bottom of the engine bracket casting sticks down and blocks it from laying flat.

I was going to say that your engine uses round mounts but I guess that they have been super-ceded by the newer square mounts.
My 78 has the square mounts oriented as in your picture.
