I know where you can get a good set of BIG tires!!!!!

Jess is blazin' trails for the CLC.

Where could we get some good experienced guidance? Nolen? I'm sure Michael Harness could offer lots of advice. Cowboy could be a great resource as well.

Time for some serious MUD research!

Let me know if I can scout out any parts for you.

Now that you've decided to do this, what kind of timeframe are you looking at?

GO JESS GO

SO SO SO SO

Jes,I think that's  . Matthew want's to do that to my truck. James

i'm lost....what is a spring over?

Good question Gates:

SUA: Spring Under Axle - Factory configuration

SOA: Spring Over Axle - One can use their original soft springs and move them to the top of the axle giving approximately 5 inches of lift. Some use FJ55 springs, 2.5" lift springs etc for more lift and more flex. There are a lot of mods that MAY accompany an SOA:

Cut and Turn - a must
Shackle Reversal
Spring choices
Spring flip for longer wheelbase
Hy Steer
Long travel driveshafts
Traction bar or 4 link for rear axle
Rear disk brakes
Re-gear if going bigger than 35s
Power Steering - Saginaw or FJ60
etc
etc

What is the plan Jess???????????????????????

Damnit boy! Let's start cutting! Maybe we could get Jessie from Extreme 4X4 to come over and help. Hell I'll even put her up for the weekend. You have to buy the beer though. Let us know when to start and we will be there.

Later,

Yeah, SOA it. You will love the way it rides after it is done. Great writups on MUD. Make sure you cut/turn the front so it will trrack good on the road.

When I first did my SOA with my rig I was running a 2F, SM465, 3sp case and 38's. It kicked ass.

Make sure you order a wrap bar from JK Customs. His is off the shelf easy to insatll and it is necessary to keep the rear springs from wrapping up.

So what about SOA front and 4 link rear?
