Eric,

Nice pics! But that one of the jackknifed trailer is terrible :lol: That must have been trying to back out and sliding.

Brandon,

That would be great if you all wound up out this way! I bet Andrew is keeping you and Amy busy :D

Hey guys, thanks for sharing your trip report and photos. We are planning to do a portion of the Kokapelli running from west to east but planning to skip the higher elevation western parts because of potential snow.

We will be starting that portion of our trip around March 23 so I'm curious as to what time of the year your trip was. We would like to do the whole thing if weather and conditions allow.

@fireball

It was the same time of year, about the third week of March. Let me know if you have and questions. West to east will be going up Rose Garden Hill which will be more challenging. Good luck and have a great trip.

I think we will just play it by ear depending on conditions. We'll be in Moab and the general area for a few days beforehand, then planning to do Koko as the start of our journey home back east. We can skip the high elevation portions and Rose Garden and jump in near Dewey Bridge and start with Top of the World. Or be brave and do the whole thing. My buddy has a 3x locked 80 on 34s. I'll have my new-to-me BJ74 with rear locker and 33s.

If you have any coordinates for prime campsites along the eastern half of the trail that would be super. I know some folks are keen on the "go explore on your own" but I seem to have a bad habit of only setting up camp after dark and always nice to have a few known good locations in the back pocket for just in case :)

I may have some GPS coordinates, I will look and try to post up in the next day or so.

I don't seem to have the files on my computer and I am having problems with my GPS. If I can get some info I will send you a PM.
