So I bought my wife an 07 gx a few months ago. I like it so much better than my 4Runner that I sold mine and now I'm searching for a gx for me.

In my area, if you get one for kbb, you did good. I found this one local and it looks like a sport from what I have read. Also has standard stereo. It books for $10,400. I didn't see an option to plug in the sport pkg. If I could get this for $11,000 , should o go get it?

Assuming no mechanical issues or significant accident history, that it drives well and all works as it should on it, probably a good truck. I assume chassis and body rust is not much of an issue where you are (unlike where I am)? Good luck

It's worth a look if it's close to you. My concern is that the truck is at 158K, and the timing belt was replaced at 156K. I can see changing a timing belt at 120K as pushing it and 156K is possibly neglect. Is this the sencond time the timing belt was changed? Did they finally decide to change the timing belt for the first time before something went wrong, or did the belt break and that's why it had to be changed? If the belt broke, there's engine components that could have been damaged (valves, piston, crank shaft). Definitely do your research on this one. It's been posted for 21 days and killer deals usually are not posted that long. If there are no major issues, $11K is reasonalble. Good luck.

A Sport with no nav is basically a unicorn. I did not know they even existed when I bought mine last year.

Yep - I wouldn't back off of $12k either.

I kinda wish I was in the market for one right now...knowing that these exist may make my next GX purchase much more difficult.

I mean, I guess you can pretty much convert it to a sport like I did, with the headlights and wrapping the interior trim and replacing the steering wheel.

KDSS is what really adds the value to the Sport.

Funny, that's the only thing I don't like about it. KDSS is extremely over rated IMO.

How so? Have you driven one with KDSS, both on and off road? Most folks that consider it over rated, haven't actually driven one with it (more than just a test drive anyway).

Yes. On road only though. It's expensive to repair, limits aftermarket options, and those of us who truly use the trucks heavily off road either have quick disconnects or remove them completely anyways. It's a completely pointless system IMO.

Well, I had a dealer friend of mine get me one from an auction. I can't wait to get it

That is incorrect. Some of us want superior articulation offroad for the non-hardcore stuff, and superior performance on road where we spend most of our time...KDSS provides both. I've seen people say "expensive to repair" -- but I have yet to see a first-hand account of someone actually needing to repair it. I had two wheels in the air last week, but I don't consider myself someone who "truly uses the truck heavily offroad." If I did, I'd probably get another 80 series.

I have yet to find anything that wouldn't work on a KDSS rig with proper application of a cutoff wheel. I put Budbuilt skids and MetalTech OPOR sliders on mine.

I don't consider something fitting properly when you have to use a cutoff wheel, lol. You get superior articulation with a factory swaybar disconnected as well. It takes me 10 minutes to pull the links. Last time I was in Moab I hung 2 wheels at a time with them still connected. Superior on road handling? You're talking about a GX, not a Maserati. Factor that in with a LT tire, and upgraded suspension, and you eliminate any benefit it once had. What type of superior on road handling are you talking about? Less body roll? I could see the argument being valid if were discussing its benefits on a road course, but we're not. We're talking about a system that electronically disconnects links and alters length by using wizardry and high pressure fluid. basically the same thing I can do in 10 minutes with a ratchet and a socket. It is only my opinion after all, but I gurantee you my non KDSS truck will go anywhere an exact same truck with KDSS will go.
