I know this has been addressed somewhere in some thread(s). And yes, I searched - about 5 threads. Also yes, I'm sure someone could find it. BUT, maybe we can shortcut that for the next searcher... okay, and me this time.

Two of the 12 nuts are spinning "freely." Freely gets the quotes because they are far from "freely" accessible. They're buried beyond several trim pieces and the headliner.

Are there any proven (or pretty good) techniques for coaxing the nuts to hold against the underside of the roof enough to bite? I'll go with the flat-head screwdriver-wedging-up method if there's no "Ah ha!" trick I'm missing.

I started typing then realized this is in the 100 series section, not 200...

pretty rare for this to happen on a 100 series. But how I'd likely fix it would be to drill out the hole to 7/16 then install a M8 riv nut in there. And just let the buried bits swim away and find a new home. But I haven't dealt with this on a 100 yet, thankfully... hopefully that's not coming soon! The 200's otoh, I have that process dialed.. ;)
