Just installed mine. It came with the "new" brackets. It is very solid. The brackets are 1/4" thick.

Packaging was solid and everything fits. this is an awesome barrier.

I decided to keep a 10mm bicycle tool socket and a 5mm Allen wrench in glove box. I don't usually carry bulky items that could wedge the rear hatch lock shut but.......

In the works.

Any interest for non-rear a/c? Looks to require symmetrical mounts. Otherwise no need to change anything else. Could you use two of the "straight" mounts? Smart feature/mod and looks like a solid product, not cost prohibitive, easy DIY install and great support. Sell it and they will come.

I've sent out a barrier for test fit with two left side brackets. just waiting to hear back how much of a gap there is above the barrier with the AC deleted. Then I need to have the bracket dimensions adjusted to compensate. Its in the works. Appears that the barrier itself does not need to be altered.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Speski Cargo Barrier and Travall Pet Barrier one? As I'm in the middle of research...

This is the first time I have seen the Travall product. After watching the video and looking over the site this is the best I can answer your question:

The Travall appears to use a wedge system like a universal mount but they have taken it one step further and designed barriers specific to each vehicle model. Then crash tested the product. That is great. They also indicate they have designed around side impact air bags when equipped.

The main difference between the Travall and the Speski is that mine bolts in. I can only assume that mine will offer a better mount over the long term and rough terrain. The wedge system as I see it, relays on force applied to the plastic trim around the windows. The Speski barrier uses existing captured nuts so there is no vehicle modification needed or damage from the mounting process.

Overall construction/materials looks pretty similar between theirs and mine. Probably a wash there. Mine is made in the USA if you care about that kind of thing. I have no clue where that one is made. You can make your own assumptions.

After using the Travall vehicle search list, the only LandCruiser options given were 2002-2006. As it was a British site I'm going to assume that correlates with 03-07 in North America. They do not list a barrier available? http://www.travall.us/toyota-c2751/...315/2002-2006-c8316/land-cruiser-amazon-c8317

If you have found a barrier for the LC please post up a link. I'm interested in seeing it.

You have not indicated what year Cruiser you are trying to fit? So I don't know if I offer a solution for you either? Mine stop at 2002 as the later 100's have side impact air bags.

Non-rear a/c 100 series fitment: You think too rare? Interest remains here. Hope others w/o rear a/c will also appreciate what looks like a good and safe product. Please advise. Thanks.

Its happening. I just sent out a prototype for test fit yesterday. I might be good to go by the end of the week on non-AC. Sorry its been a long time coming. But I'm slow :frown:

Thanks you your answer Corbet, I have contacted Travall US, and been told that their pet barriers are manufactured in UK. And they don't have a warehouse anywhere in US so far.

Did they give you a part number for the Land Cruiser? Good to see in the UK. I can stand buying China stuff if I can at all help it. But that is just me. What year truck are you trying to fit?

Here is what Travall said about their pet barrier (note, it doesn't claim to be a cargo barrier... not sure of impact rating):

"TDG1124 fits the Toyota Land Cruiser 5 Door from 2003 to 2009.

Our Pet Barrier shouldn't interfere with the side curtain airbags."

OK, but is that a Prado or and actual Land Cruiser as we know it?

I don't know, I sent another email asking.

They have "Land Cruiser" and "Land Cruiser Amazon" listed as possible LC models.

What years were the LC 100's available in the UK? Did they switch to the LC 200 the same year we did?

Also, just to be clear, I strongly prefer an American made product as well. Unfortunately, to the best of my knowledge there is no side curtain airbag compatible American made cargo/pet barrier for the LC 100. Prove me wrong and take my money

I just looked it up and that part number is definitely for a Prado.

Again, what year Land Cruiser are you trying to fit?

I want a side curtain compatible product for a 2003 - 2007 LX470 (which has rear A/C).

My goal is to keep luggage and 120lbs of German Shepherd from becoming missiles.

OK, that is what I thought but it was never actually defined. So obviously by now you probably know I do not make such a thing. If this Travall does not pan out you have two choices as I see it. Import a Milford from Australia. Or try to get your hands on an ARB through someone like Slee. The Milford should be good with the airbags but you'll have gaps by the windows for the deployment. I don't know if the ARB is Airbag friendly or not.

Scroll down and you'll see the 100 series barrier part number. It may require the install of drawers? I really don't know. All questions for Christo.

ARB is not airbag friendly.

The milford is pretty much the only option available today, and I have not found a source in CONUS for the airbag friendly version (there are some of their earlier non-airbag friendly ones floating around).

I just traded an email with Christo. He thought there was an airbag friendly ARB. If you have not already I'd contact him. He has installed a few ARB's already.

To get a Milford I'd just try to call AU and have one shipped direct.

I was going for the "Bug Corbet until he makes an airbag friendly barrier" approach. :)

You basically just need to make sure there is room for them to deploy. In the case of my barrier design the mounting brackets would get in the way in addition to the barrier itself. So for my product I can't just adjust the barrier dimensions and have a solution.

Personally I have no current plans to come up with a solution as I don't see one that would be universal enough or not require drilling.
