very recently I bought a 1973 FJ40 that has been converted to a 2H engine. The engine manufacture plate is dated 84. Can anyone out there give me a link to fluids, capacities, viscosity, filters (oil, air, fuel) so that I can start my ownership with know lubricants. glo plugs? Thanks,

I've had a few Toyota diesels before; 3B; 2H and now a 13B-T. I just run good diesel oil, what we call a Ryco Z9 filter and change every 5000km. I also run Toyota 'red' coolant. Expensive up front but cheap later on due to it's longevity. Air filter would just be stock.

Go to ebay.com.au and start searching for parts for your 2H so you can school up. Or alternatively, hit up the diesel section here. There'll be a lot of blokes running 2H's that have plenty of info. But beware, they're probably Australian so you'll likely need to read the part numbers upside down :hillbilly:

Dave @beno here on mud can hook you up with Toyota filters and most OEM parts for your 2H that are still available.
