What is this 100s run you guys keep mentioning??? :flipoff2:

Why don't you guys look into the FJSummit! Matt (gottagetone) is one of the chairs and I would rank it as one of the better events I've attended. We had about 4 100s this year and would like to see many more next year. I can see a 100 series specific run materializing and it's also fun to run with the FJ crowd. It's a different but still great group of people.

^^ All are welcome to the FJ Summit, we are looking at July 17-21, 2013. This year we had quite a few other than FJ Cruisers and next year the "others" are sure to be more predominant. We had 600 peeps show up this year and registration filled up fast so start making your plans now...oh yea, we gave away about $45,000 worth of gear at the raffle as well thanks to our awesome sponsors!

I will work to set up a 100's specific run during that week so stay tuned.

Winnings at the raffle have a good chance of paying for your entire trip!

Layonn,

You taking the 100 up to Superlift?

This is a great ride if any of you other guys want to make the trip up.

yup. There are a bunch of us coming from southern LA, about 20.

Don't want to speak for everyone else, but most all of us coming from down here will be rank amateurs at this type driving. There's simply no terrain here that's similar.

Thanks, will check in regularly.

Based on the response to this thread, I think we can travel with 6-10 rigs next year. But who knows being that far into the future.

Southern Cruiser Crawl at Superlift in Hot Springs is a month away!

Last time I wheeled this with Mickey Thompsom baja crawlers. It chunked the tires up good.

I wonder how the BFG AT's would hold up here?

I have had two seperate 4Runer's up there on BFG ATs and they did great running everything up to and including Poughkepsie Gulch.

Hey David- good to see you over here on the 100 board but I was referencing Hot Springs on the chunking comment. Any experience there with BFG AT's ?(thread hijack continued...)

Not up there with the ats. I've always find Goodyear mtrs and BFG MTs. Experienced some chunking but not real bad.

White Trash of the Elwood Chapter, TORC4x4.org, Cottonland Cruisers.

we love colorado

I miss CO too! I actually saw the FJ crowd near Salida while driving my Porsche.

Below is some other fun that I had going to see my Aunt in CB. I was going over Pearl Pass from Aspen. Yeehaw.

Well since I have been trying to get out there for the past three years.... Maybe this 2013 summer will be the right one.

This is intriguing to me. I may come but it will be hard for me to take 1.5 weeks off. Its a 33 hour drive, which will take me 3-4 days id imagine. I have never driven further than 10 hours at once and that 10 hours was rough.

BBQ, where are you located? 33 hours would have to put you close to the east coast huh?

I'm in Louisiana, and Google is showing about 20 hours for me. I was thinking I could leave on a Friday afternoon, drive 8 hours or so, then do the rest Saturday. That would give us 5 days there, heading back on thurs or fri. Miss only 1 week of work doing it that way.

I live on the coast of Charleston, SC. It's a Looooong haul. I know Brock, in our local club, did the FJ Summit when he had his FJ Cruiser. I don't remember speaking with him about the drive.

Yeah, that's a long way. I've never done a drive like that either. Hope you can figure out a way to make it work!

Yea, ship the truck and fly. I am guessing this will be tent camping???

Or rent a cabin near Silverton, Lake City or Ouray. Preferenced in that order. Most all the trails can be reached easily from all of them.
