Is anyone bringing kids with them? I have a 4, 6 and 10 year old. I don't want them to be the only ones harassing others without kids. Like to evenly share annoyance duties! I am still considering this trip and would be coming from the Cincinnati area.

I know there will be other children there, yes. As far as quantity and ages go, no real handle on that.

I just stumbled on this thread, and I'm definitely interested, I've got to talk it over with the boss(wifey).
I just dropped off my LX at ACC to have my AHC ripped out, and I have several service needs on my own rig in order to go. I might need some local wrenching help with a timing belt service etc. etc. If anyone is interested in helping a newbie.
What are the exact dates?

I have been slack and let this trip slip , I will not be able to make it due to resent purchases. my dream to get out west will continue to pull me along and I will drive out there one of these days. Post lots of pictures for those of us who are web wheeling...... I will be at gsmtr so would love to see other 100s there.

I'm talking to some peeps on another forum from Albequerque and Denver to see it they'll sign for my truck and fly Southwest out of New Orleans. They have cheap nonstop flights to both.

Keep me posted on the shipping info you dig up, might also be interested. It would be kinda cool to have a half dozen or so of us drive up together, but def wouldn't want to make that drive solo...
I can fly to Denver on Thurs for $200...
I'm driving back. I was informed my presence was required at this convention when i submitted my time off request.
I've got guys in Albuquerque who will take delivery of the truck, but I'm waiting to hear from the Denver area crew. Guys i have e-known for 10+ years.
According to google maps,
Abq to Ouray is 5hrs 5 min
Den to Ouray is 5hrs 41 min
NO to Denver Thur 8th $112.90; 2hr 50min nonstop

I'm still gonna lean towards driving up, in hopes that 5-6 trucks make the trip. BUT, i will pull the trigger on the shipping deal if the ranks get thin.

i have no twins to bring...well...maybe but they won't be my kids....

Not yet. I have shipped vehicles on Uship before without a problem. I'm guessing I'll ship it on Monday from Birmingham, rent a car to go to Biloxi for my conference Wed-Thur, then drop it off at the NO airport and fly to Albuquerque or Denver and meet whoever I ship my truck to. I've got confirmations from people in both cities they'd be willing to accept it, and Southwest has $110 nonstip flights to both from NO.

Are there any dates firmed up for how long people are staying? I am thinking of turning this into a two week long family road trip Clark Griswald style. The concrete dates are August 9-11 right?

Aug 9-11 is the dates when we'll be joining up with the 100s in the Hills ride, yes. Past that, I'm sure there will be a few of us that go earlier, stay later.
I'm personally planning on arriving in Ouray no later than the 8th, possibly the 7th. Will be leaving on the 12th.
