Two questions. First, I am doing a little bit of touch up paint on the roof of my LX450 after removing the factory roof rack and I think I am going to sand and repaint some areas that were under the feet to fix some minor rust issues So I need some factory paint color "Black Onyx -- paint code 202" and clear coat in cans. There are a bunch of places that sell the that I would need. Does anybody have a recommendation?
Some options---
automotivetouchup.com
touchupdirect.com
Eastwood
Amazon
There are also some local shops that will mix up the paint and put it in a can for you. Not sure if a local shop would be as accurate, or if the paint would be as good. But maybe it is better?
Again, anyone have recommendation?
Next-- I am going to remove the factory running boards and install some front mudflaps. On my LX450 the top part of the rear mudflaps are painted the same color as the molding. The front mudflaps I have (Left – 76604-60021, Right –76603-60021) are just black plastic. So I was considering buying a can of the trim color (UA31 or UAC31) and painting the top part to match.
Is this a good idea? Would regular paint even stick to the plastic mudflaps?
I took a picture of new front mudflap next to the current rear mudflap, but the light was not great so you might not be able to see it.
