I have one and love it!

Lights up fast, economic on coals and you can put it away hot in it's carry bag. And it take a lot less room than a standard grill. Closed up, it is about 6 inches thick, 12 inches wide and about 20 inches long. Being rectangular shape it fits anywhere.

I'm not sure I like the put-it-away-hot deal...

I've used this gas Weber for many years and it's done a fine job on the trail.
yes, it's propane, but honestly, I think a small bottle or two are much easier to deal with on the trail than bags of charcoal. :meh:

Given that charcoal isn't allowed most of the summer in the Sierra gas is a good choice. I like my $40 Walmart grill.

I don't recall it being called "Son of Hibachi" but we had one in college (15+ years ago) that was almost identical. It worked well, but eventually self destructed after fairly substantial use.

Back then they were just called Hibachi's I'ts a Japanese style grill.

My Mom had one when i was a kid (20+ years ago) I always wondered if they still sold them.

Im getting one for sure.

the standard hibachi doesn't fold up and get stuffed whilst hot into a canvas bag...

some kind of fire proof canvas.

yeah...

sure.

call me skeptical, but I have doubts about canvas' ability to be completely fireproof...

coated with asbestos?
I wore fire shirts when I work with the Forest Service. They did not burn, I know this from first hand experience. I was working a fire that crowned out over my head, it was pretty much raining fire. My shirt did not catch fire. I got burned through the shirt, and my boots were fried but I did not catch fire.

I got the next bus back to Nevada. :grinpimp:

Forest fire fighters have bigger stones than I do.
