Sometimes wont start. Need some Help. (1 Viewer)

I bought a 1995 FZJ80.

When I turn the key sometimes it won't start. Then when I try the next time it may start. Sometimes it takes 3 to 7 times. Its not a battery issue.

I found this video on youtube. The guys is doing exactly what mine is doing.

Starter maybe? Contacts to the starter?

Could be the starter contacts. My cruiser has had the same thing happen a few times when it's really hot (+110) and I've been driving for over an hour. I just tap on the solenoid a couple times with a wrench and then it fires right up. I've had a rebuild kit sitting on my workbench for three years to fix this...

It's actually pretty cold here. I'm in Minnesota. I think you are prolly on to something though. The starter contacts may be the issue whether it's hot or cold

I replaced my neutral saftey switch last year because I was having intermittent starting issues. Problem went away, and now I'm having same issues again. I also replaced the starter contacts some time before I replaced the NSW. I believe before I got the new switch, I just removed the one of the wires from the connector that goes to the switch but I can't remeber which one just now. This solved the problem until I got the new switch.
