Finally made it home after a long weekend of driving from Houston to New York with an overnight pit stop in Waxhaw North Carolina before the final leg! The lc did great! Looking forward to keeping in the family for a long time!

Houston to New York? If they salt your roads, I'd recommend drill a hole, equal in size to those other holes, at the arrow. There is a pocket that holds moisture and can rust through.

Thanks for the tip! They do salt the roads here. I intend to have some kind of treatment to the underside before winter arrives. I will make that part of the treatment! I would assume that pocket is on both sides of the crossmember?
 
I usually only see the driver's side rust through. Squirt some fluid film inside the crossmember too.
