Hi All,

I have a 2001 Land Cruiser. Posted a few threads in the past about issues with my gauge cluster. It was shorted out and beyond saving, so I found a replacement. The truck has ~208015 miles and the new cluster has ~200800. I confirmed operation of the cluster in my garage. Is it possible to transfer over the parts of the board that are responsible for displaying the mileage? I'm comfortable working with electronics. Alternatively, if I install it myself can I take it somewhere to officially record a mileage discrepancy so its not marked against my title next time it goes into a shop? The shop that I go to wont install customer provided parts and theyre unable to locate a used gauge cluster, however I have the service record recommending replacement of the cluster.

Thanks!

I don’t think anyone buying the truck after you will care about a 4% (and dropping!) variance in mileage on a truck like this. It’s not a 30k mile Ferrari. Wrong sized tires will throw things off more than 4%.

Typically when I ask a question is when I come to a eureka moment. I swapped one of the circuit boards and the mileage followed! It's the green one with all the ICs. Held in by screws, plugs, and ribbon cables. Thanks everyone! I now have a fully functioning gauge cluster and the true mileage! Hopefully this helps someone else.
