A gassers had carb fueling issues and the oil burners crop dusted the mountain side with blue smoke.Kinda off topic but any major loss of power issues at altitude ?? I've hesitated taking the 60 out there thinking it would be a real dog at that altitude

I didn't have any issues even at 13,114 feet on Imogene Pass, but I live at 7,240 feet and have the carburetor and timing set up for that altitude and higher.Kinda off topic but any major loss of power issues at altitude ?? The only real modifications to my '76 FJ40 are an H41 4-speed mated to a 3-speed transfer case. I'm currently running close to stock size tires. The lower gearing really helped out on sections like this:Wow! Amazing scenery.
Looks like a great trip. Trails appear suited to lightly modified rigs. Have always wanted to explore The Rockies. Maybe I'll invite myself to next years event.
