86-HJ60-CAD style; nearing end of 10-year restoration (frame off) and doing wiring now for toys/accesories and modern 12v power sources.

Was going to post some questions about 12v power supply or tapping off low side 12v battery—so much great info on this thread!!—my compliments and thanks to all of you!

So-looks like I’ll put one or 2-converters from keyed solenoid in plus a 12v fuse panel from 24v high side…with a 12v tap to headlight fuse for 12v stereo memory.

More work but sounds like best answer from you ahead of me.

Auto electrics is my weak spot-sure appreciate all your wisdom and experience!!

Take care

I am glad someone else got this thread started again because I have a question for anyone that still around, I have my solar converter system setup and it’s been pretty bulletproof, recently I had my stereo start malfunctioning (no sound) and I spent some time multimetering the wires going into the deck, I found that the solar converter is now allowing 14.6volts into the deck which puts it into a sorta limp mode. When I used an el cheapo Amazon converter that outputs exactly 12vokts stereo is working perfectly. I read somewhere there is an adjustment in the unit but I can’t seem to locate it.

Thanks for any help
