Trasharoo is pleased to announce that we will be putting on a little contest at the SoCal Desert Rendezvous.

When the scout crew went and looked at the site, it was pretty killer and plenty big. But, they noticed quite a bit of shooter trash etc and thought maybe we could do something about it. Along the lines of many clean ups out there, we thought perhaps we could have a contest for most trash recovered from the desert and on saturday evening we could give the winner a prize.

So that's exactly what we're doing and what we're all about. For for whoever picks up the most trash they will receive a FREE TRASHAROO prize pack!!!!

(Includes a 'Roo Shirt, Trasharoo Bag in any color they choose, Molle license plate holder and some 'Roo decals)

We're stoked to be able to help out and know this will be a great event for all.

Coordinates have been released. Have never been down Bradshaw so really looking forward to this.

Gonna be there, thanks. Are guns going to be welcome if we shoot way, way off and out of sight? Common sense tells me this will be frowned upon but I would like to hear your opinions. I rarely get a chance to camp and shoot during the same weekend.

As long as its far enough away where you can't hear it from camp would be a good idea... because there will be dogs in camp and the general area and i know ours goes nuts. It's a question for Tacodoc (dave) on the portal.

I hear ya Dave, I don't want to ruin the vibe for anyone at all that's why I asked. For some guns are part of their camping and outdoor experience and for other it just freaks them out. I'll heed the advice of the majority, thanks for your input.

Still planning on being there. Perhaps we can pick a corner of the "campground" to attempt to meet up / camp in?

If you find out that shooting ok nearby, let me know as i may want to join you for a side trip.

Scott, good to hear you're getting out.

I'll probably to this one too.

Dave, you'll know best. Are the coordinates trailer friendly? I haven't looked yet. Getting the trailer back with lid this week. Will need to at least get it primered prior to taking it out tho! This trip may be a good incentive to 'get er done'.

Hey Brent - I rode the Bradshaw last year on my KTM and from what i recall, it was pretty mellow (especially on the eastern end of the road). That said, i was on a bike and not in a truck with a trailer, but i think you will be good. Hope you and others can make as it will be good to meet you guys.

Brent the campsite looks to be about 7 miles south of the 10. I PM'd Dave (TacoDoc) on Expo and he said no worries with a small AT trailer. Bring it on out there with all the Camp Chef bling.

Brent, will your apple cobbler be making an appearance?

You're getting out a lot lately Brent.. that's good man!

Yep, off road trailer friendly.. just dirt roads.

Hey Dan.

Approximately what time do you think you'll reach the Salton Sea area?

I'll be leaving Westwood LA at 1130 or so. According to Google, it is a 3 hour + drive to Salton City.

- If my itinerary goes as plan:
If you are within 2M range and not so far away I would love to meet up (Salton area) and caravan from the west of the trail to the camp site.

I really don't have a specific time on getting out there since I have the day off. I was waiting to see if anyone else wanted to caravan from the Salton Sea side and plan it from there.

We could start the caravan planning and see who else wants to join us. How about we pick a spot near the trailhead to meet up around 3:00?
