So what did you do on your 25 this weekend???

In an effort to make room in the garage I tested a theory put forth by the Chick: Bolt parts on to a nearly neckid 25, try to put something together...pretty outside the box thinking if you ask me...

So I put a clutch and transmission in a rig, makes me feel good, so I take it out, put it back in (no lie), prolly take it out again in December when I get home again, and I'll start a thread on clutch stuff...why do it right the first time when it hurts so good the second and third?

Sounds like we were all making efforts to make room in our shops this weekend. I took posession of my new compressor and decided to put it in the basement of the house instead of in the shop. Why should the sound of a running air compressor annoy me when it can just as easily annoy my wife and kids :D

I had to disassemble it to get it in there. There was no way I was going to get it in there in one piece. The thing weighs like 600 lbs! Its wired up and piped to the shop. I just need to connect it up to the existing piping. Now I'll be able to listen to music again when I work.

Phil- Bolting things back together? That woman is a bad influence. ;)

Mike- The family is going to love that new compressor. :D Tell them you wanted to make use of the heat for the house and not let it go to waste.

Me, I went into the shed (packing crate) to get a spare housing and fell through the floor (again) and took a backwards s***ter into a pile of cruiser parts (again). Spent the weekend taking all the parts out, making a floor and shelves and putting all the crap back in again.

ROTW running . . .

You should've just slapped a Cuisinart label on it and put it in the kitchen next to the electric can opener. No one would've noticed.

Well, I didn't tinker with the 25 this past weekend because the brake hoses came into the dealership while I was out of town.

But, I did post my ROTW write-up on the 25 in 40/55 tech section.

I shoved Krusty over into the lawn and garden section so I had a little room to work.

I pulled all the junk out of it, and did some cleaning. I like the original red paint (under the white and then light green paints).

I winched the rolling chassis through a foot and a half of snow back inito the shop. dropped in a 6 cyl engine, 78/40 4-speed tranny, and t/c. Sunday I'm working on the shift linkages, and floor e-brake set up, I will have to put the tub back on for final fit-up. fun, fun,fun John3

Split wood while looking and thinking cruisers, came up with a project name for the SA spec so I have to start a new thread now...

This weekend, I modified and installed factory seat brackets for my mid 1970's bucket seats, which replace the cloth seats welded to the roll cage cross-ties. I also cut out that part of the roll cage, and boy is the cage (and the tub) wiggly now!

I also started to replace my waterpump. First thing to do was break off the radiator petcock at the threads... Next, I broke two of the four waterpump mounting screws, but the others came out intact. :o

At least the weather was nice :)

For some reason I wasn't able to get anything done on the cruisers. I wasn't even able to split wood, which I need to do

Pretty soon you'll be saying it's too hot to do anything. :;) Finally they look normal.........should I send you down some road salt to spread around? :D

Thanks for the offer Jim but the state already uses a salt mix on the roads they plow:crybaby: . I try to keep all but the vehicle that I drive back and forth with off the state highways in the winter time. That vehicle gets rinsed off in Phoenix all the time. I'm driving the 100 series almost all the time since it has alot less plastic molding than the 4Runner for the salt to hide under. Besides it has heated seats:rolleyes:

The second two pictures were taken on Sunday morning, the first one was taken on Monday morning. Clear blue skies the next day. Now snow in the forcast for this coming weekend. Hopefully I can at least get some wood split this coming weekend or other wise I will had to use the electric furnace:eek:

Just don't push it, let it heal.

I don't think when my back was screwed up and the doctors said, "walking, therapy or laying down flat" they expected me to be doing my laying down under a truck.
