That would be the north side of pole 6 for the left and right challenged.
Who ever is doing the stake out, please set us up a little bit east of the pole as well. The tides won't be ultra high but even at 4 ft. it seems like there are always a handful of campers who push inland when they realize the ocean actually rises and falls. ;p On another topic, does anyone know where to buy those pre-made wind screens/breaks? Thanks,

Just thought I chime in and let everyone know I'm planning on heading up. (I've been mostly lurking for the past 6 months, because of the new baby.)
Curious, does anyone use their CB while driving, and if so which channel?
I'm planning on bringing the whole family along (wife + 3 kids (3yr old, 2yr old, 6 months old)).
We'll be leaving either late (late!) Thursday and spending a night either with friends in L.A. or a hotel (Hilton Garden) near Oxnard. Or leaving early Friday.

Jim has put up some suggested 2m frequencies to use and what repeaters work well on the South side...
might be good to think about tide timing for the creek area, especially if you have a trailer.

New departure time for me: I should hopefully be heading out of LA, around noon on Friday. Don't worry about the tide...I took my rig stock through that wash when it was really moving. Just air down to about 15psi cut right on through.

Boyd did a great trick last year. Started with a standard easy up awning then zip tied a basic blue tarp to the awning and secured the bottom with sand! Worked great as a wind block.

I plan on using the same setup this year. I might try a second EZ-up for more protection. I'll see if I can get it back from the guy I loaned it to. . . a year ago
