I have a pile of beater fishing rods for you to use...

no need to pack yer high-falootin' tarpon tackle.

'specially since there ain't no tarpon out here...

:D

:hhmm:

With all the other stuff going on during S-n-T, I never really thought much about bringing a couple rods/reels for some surf fishin'...maybe I'll toss a couple into the truck next time...

Funniest Toyota event, people make the event. Cruise Moab or Rubithon are serious wheeling events but nothing beats the social aspect of SNT.

And San Luis is one of the best towns in California to live in, in my book.

bro-in-law works for SRAM, apparently they have a facility there and have offered him a job at it. The last four years they've live in China and Germany, they want to come back to the States now. Jeb says it's close so it'd be an easy deal going, I'd love to hang out and drink a few beers and tell some lies. We can camp on the beach but we can't run trucks on them so that'll be an experience.

lol, should I bother with a fishing rod?

There is huge mangroves out there with snooks lurking behind the Pismo Beach. It just reminds me of my old time fishing at Wiggins Pass, Doctor Pass, Gordon Pass, Chokoloskee and Ten Thousand Island.

Cheers,

lol...get out of here. When were you here?

We first come to Naples in 1969 when HY 41 only have 2 lanes.

I do missed the old Naples before it exploded into a unregonizable but desirable & lovely town enough for Steven Spielberg to put his $26.8m winter home at.

Cheers,

we were here then but we've been here forever, it sure was neat back then.

It WAS neat when Larry Bird moved to our next door house in 1990 around his retirement time!

The best part is there is no basketball loop on his driveway but the OTHER driveway next door and many fans pulled up and took a photos of the wrong house! That was funny to watch....

SLO got even better in 2002 when all my cruiser friends started showing up every year!:D

It's a pretty amazing place and equally amazing collection of people and cruisers. And it keeps getting better every year. Cool.

This pic is awesome. As a local who has seen many nights on the beach, this does look like a few waves coming in late at night. Good job man!:clap: i second the nomination!
