Snowpocalypse 2015

Anyone get out today in the maddness? I just did a quick trip around the hood about 6 tonight. No snow at our place, all sleet and freezing rain, it took me over an hour to get them both cleaned off.

And from inside

It was easily 5"-6" deep in the center of the windshield.

4runner was about the same.

Anybody else grab any pics around today?

I took the pickup out to get a few things like beer and snuf and the roads were pretty bad. It iced an inch or so and then snowed about 2 or 3 inches on top of that.

But I have the stove fired up and the percolator out just in case the power goes out.

Yeah it was pretty a good one. And it doesn't look like its going to get much better for a few days. My dad and step mom were supposed to come home from the Key's today but are "stuck" down there since they closed BNA. Lucky

nothing but rain just north of Atlanta. Supposedly lots of black ice for tomorrow. gotta make sure I do not slip on the deck like last time and wack my ankle.
I will take a pic tomorrow if anything good comes out of it.

We got about 2 inches in franklin, epic sledding with the kids, and yeah Nashville is shut down from this ice... I have had to ground my route trucks this morning until this afternoon and cancel other daily shop production..,

Woke up to no power, fired up ventless gas log, started generator and coffee pot. Power back on at 8:30. We have about 1/2 inch of ice covered with 1/2 of snow. 3 inch icecles on power lines waiting for new power outage.

Got out this morning to take Erin to her office and roads are straight ice. Didn't have any issues, just chugged along slow and steady. Saw a few cats off in the ditch and one down a pretty steep embankment. Didn't see anyone who looked to be having trouble. All the interstates are closed at some point in and out of Nashville. Secondaries weren't too bad. Side streets are passive to the right vehicles but very rutted and still solid.

Still on the road, but headed west so we are out of the worst of it.

Made my way into the office today. Snow was near white-out a couple of times. Roads definitely deteriorated from east to west. With the main highway from 40 into my office being a solid sheet of ice.

Got sideways turning onto the side street headed to my office. My own fault, I goose it a little just to see what it felt like and about did a 180.

Super slick and now we have about an inch of snow atop everything as well. Stay safe and warm out there.

Biggest one is about 1.5" in diameter and probably 18"+ long
