mooker82 said:Thanks for all the responses....i believe im gonna do it..if i get it in and wimp out on cutting the hole I can just post it up on here or ebay for sale and probably only lose a few $$...So now that its kind of decided will I need any additional parts not included in the kit (besides the round nut inserts that work better). Will my air filter still be the same? Sorry for the dumb questions but I have never seen one installed.
THE RIGHT ANSWER! cooler air is definitly better for your air fuel mix. even on the hottest day. the air in front of the grill is hotter than the air at the top of your roof line. cooler air mixes better with fuel. fact!cruiserdan said:The main reason for one other than the obvious aquatic benefit is it is much less restrictive. All you have to do is look at that little resonator box inside the fender and you will see what I mean. The snorkel allows more, cooler, slightly cleaner air than does the stock inlet. This is especialy important with a forced induction engine. When I fitted mine I noticed a slightly "crisper" throttle than I had pre-snorkel. That may have been a placebo effect, I can't prove it. I do not hear any wind noise from it. As I have a 93 with pulsed-air injection I get a bit of a "burbble" when the engine is dead cold and the air injection is operating but I kinda like it.....![]()

for cooler air, it would though compensate for more air flow. hence the air flow meter. cooler air no,more air yes.mooker82 said:So if I am getting significantly cooler air and changing my Air Fuel Ratio do I need to reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery. I know that when you add a high flow intake to import cars you must reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery so that the computer reads the new addition and adjusts fuel delivery accordingly.
