I'm tired of talking about snorkels - I would like to delete the safari snorkel on my silver 2013 landcruiser.

I am entertaining options on accomplishing this....Should I remove it and pop rivet a beer can over the hole? Should I find someone (you know you want a snorkel - DO IT!) with a silver truck who wants to swap fenders?

Anyone? Bueller?

I don’t have one and not particularly interested in installing a snorkel, but genuinely curious; why do you want to get rid of it? They look cool and are a functional mod - why remove?

Who's snorkel-ized truck is in your avatar?
Looks are subjective. Everytime I get gas (frequently) or park, or stop at an intersection people always gotta ask (is that a snorkel?/How deep have you gone?/do you use that thing?/Gonna drive accross the ocean?/hah ha ha....Its like riding a tandem bike with my wife...."She's not pedaling"

Say it ain't so.... :( Good luck changing it out. Worst case a new fender shouldn't be too much.

I'll give you an old man gold fender for the swap haha

That’s my 80 in the avatar. I thought about adding one to the 200 but decided not to...for a lot of the same reasons you’re getting rid of yours!

Still slowely working on this anyone have the plastic parts that are "discarded" during the snorkel install?

Wow, a year later and still considering it! How about calling some of the vendors on here who install snorkels for those "discarded" parts. A body shop could fix the hole and it would look much better than the pop rivet beer can solution you mentioned last year.

I say you take it out, torch the hole in the fender so it looks all cool like. Make up a cool story how it got there. Then you'll get to talk about that from now on.

Had a snorkle on my FJ62. Yah the looks and queries got old.

@indycole could save us all explanation time if he’d print us miniature copies of the BILL to replace a 5.7 V8 that sucked in water.... -Could just keep a stack in the truck and hand to folks whoAsk. :)

I resisted a snorkel for years until that unfortunate surprise at Cruise Moab last year... It was NOT a crazy crossing, either. -But weird things happen in water you can’t see through.

Wow, I never said I was in a hurry....Besides I'm so far ahead of considering it. I'm slowly working on it now

Spoke with Slee Offroad a few weeks ago...nope.....Got any other names of "vendors on here who install snorkels?" that might be helpful?

Remove the snorkel. Get an arm from a mannequin and stick it in the hole with the forearm and hand coming out of the fender.

Manchester, NH isn't too far.....I only need one arm....anyone want to go in on this house elf mannequin?

I’m snorkel-less, so I’m of no help with which vendors install. Maybe check out some of the better known vendors on Mud like Cruiser Outfitters and see what they have. Did Slee have any other leads? Vendors

I'll be honest, if I had a silver rig and was considering a snorkel, I'd be weary swapping my truck's VIN tag specific fender for another. It would be more of a hassle down the road explaining that "no, the truck wasn't in an accident" and "yes, I am aware that the bolts have been turned and the VIN doesn't match."

There is a VIN tag on the fender? Never knew that. Ive been all over inside that thing and never noticed one. I'm not sure I understand the concern though. Are you worried about resale?

So I just looked all over under the hood, even pulled off the gasket at the top of the fender that seals the hood. I don't see a VIN tag anywhere, which is odd. Even my old '87 mini had them clearly visible. Maybe it's hidden.
