I look forward to your next project.

You wouldn't happen to have an extra right side front bumper end cap laying around would you?

I..... looked and don't sorry.

Well, it didn't sell and I think the craigslist ad will expire real soon so - its at the end of the project queue, but it will reappear within 2 months so I can finish it up and actually, it will feel good to complete it.

Back in the queue then for sale to help pay the dr. Stay tuned!

Got the engine finalized and tidied up. Let it run for about an hour today and drove it around the block.

Starts and runs excellent.

The downer is that the engine blows some blue smoke. Guy I grabbed it from said it ran good when he pulled for his v8 swap. Learning from this one.

Next step... ? I took a video, but don't have the heart to post it up tonight.

You might pour some ATF in the holes and let it soak a day or two, then drive it - to free up the rings. Consider replacing the valve stem seals, too, on an engine that has sat for a while. Eventually, do a compression test and see where you're at with that.

A hole in the piston you say!! Oh you definitely have to post up on this! Nice to see you are still around.

EDIT:
HOLY CRAP I just saw your video of the diagnosis!! Dude that lower block is pretty much toast if you are not inclined to do your own full rebuild of the engine. All those cylinders will need to be honed and/or bored to fix the problems with #5 & #6 then you will need new pistons, rings, etc. That will then require a whole new rebuild of the lower end, blah blah blah!!. So looks like you are in need of yet another engine! Maybe time for an SBC swap?

A... don't worry we know. Saw someone linked a new video from him in the "What kinda garbage did your PO pull..." thread where he found the pistons were toast in 5 & 6. In the vid #5 is COMPLETELY toasted.

I forgot I had this wagon! I sold it years ago and forgot to who. Too many cruisers too little time. I'm glad you guys can enjoy some of the humor and yes this wagon takes the cake with PO fails!!! Love the PO thread.
