UPDATE - February 9, 2009
Hello Everyone!
Camping information is now finalized!
If you have not already done so, please complete the Skyline Ride Survey so we can get a idea of who all is coming.
Mt. Dew and BamaBleach have graciously offerred to let us camp on their property located right off HWY 79 on County Road 143. The camp site is located approx. 4 miles South of the ride meeting point at HWY 79/CR 146.
You can get directions using MapQuest or MSN maps, however I DID NOT have luck using Google maps.
Use the following address for directions:
765 County Road 143
Scottsboro, AL 35768
There should be plenty of room for everyone. We will be camping on the site of an old chicken house that was removed in the 70s, so the ground is firmly packed and level. However, if you are bringing a tow rig, camper, or combination of both place let me know.
We will have access to a bathroom in Mt. Dew's shop, but no showers. The bathroom uses a primative septic system, so we'll have to limit its use.
We will be allowed to build a camp fire, but firewood may not be available. If everyone camping brings a little bit of firewood we should be safe.
I will be providing dinner Saturday night for everyone interested in DixieLand Cruisers and/or camping at the site.
Stay tuned to this thread. I will be posting information as it becomes available.
