Slees rotors?

Looks like they are standard Power Stop rotors. IIRC, many of the big box auto parts retailers carry them as well.

have a set of the fronts. they are nice.......looking and after many inspections are wearing reasonably well, with no cracking at all.

only down side is that the holes fill with mud the instant you go offroad so your always cleaning them out. after prolonged use they fill up even if you dont go offroad. the slots however stay clean, which is nice.

I'm not a fan of slotted/drilled rotors for exactly this reason. Slots aren't as bad as holes, but could still collect dust/grime/rocks and cause problems.

I hear you on the holes issues, but how about better stopping?

I like mine. great stopping power. Look great. Hadn't pondered the mud accumulation. Will find out this summer...

I wouldn't do it on an off road application, mud will find its way to any opening that exists. Drilled and slots are only really beneficial on more race applications where heat needs to be dissipated. They are also weaker and wear pads faster. But Slee is the guru so what do I know. Unless you were racing in the Baja (and I don’t even think they use them) I wouldn’t run drilled and slotted rotors.

Well, the pigs' brakes stink and I am looking for an alternative, something for better braking. The 100 pads sound good, but I am not due for a rotor change, yet!

I have DBA Gold slotted and drilled on my FJ80, worth while upgrade IMO. Stops better, almost no heat fade....basically a great overall braking improvement. Pad wear? Hell, who gets better than 25k out of pads on these things anyway? The one thing that I will point out...slotted/drilled rotors cannot be turned. So consider that too.

i've got em. Had them for 10k and they are pretty good. Stop much better than stock.

I did not want drilled rotors, so I found a slotted only version, at a good price. The slotted Power Stop rotors were $270 for all 4 corners from autoanything.com (I think I got them on sale). Full disclosure, I also got the EBC Green pads at the same time, new slee stainless steel lines, new (reman) front "parts store" calipers, rebuilt rear calipers. I am very happy with the combo, definitely an improvement to the previous stuff.

I use slotted/drilled on the front and normal on the back and run ceramic pads. I live in Co. so brake fade comin down the mtns fully loaded after a camping trip is a legitimate issue. They work very well and I am quite pleased with their performance. But then i am pleased with everything from Slee. Besides I live a mile from their shop so I find it unnecessary to go anywhere else.
