Sorry, I not have all the answers now. I am on vacation right now. These are steel, the same as the 100 series belly plate. The ly ones of the 100 that are AL is the front and intermediate plates. I can post the weights when I get back. Clearance on the rear under the transfer case is about the same as the old one. About 3/8" under the lowest point of the transfer case. The holes are located to allow for draining of the fluids.

We will not be at cruise Moab, so we can not deliver. They might be available before then and people fromDenver might be ale to pick up. Check with the shop re availability.

New Slee 80 Series Belly Pan - Review

Hi All, just wanted to chime in on the new Slee Skid Plate (aka Transfer Case Belly Plate). It's an amazing piece, thoroughly planed and executed.

I got one out to San Diego, and the guys at ORW were very impressed with the ease of installation. Less than 1hr for the whole job.

It completely replaces the transmission cross-member, as well as the whimpy tin thing on the transfer-case. Fully protected now and ready to hit the trails with confidence.

I know Slee makes these for the 100 series, but now us 80 guys also have a option for full belly armor.

WEIGHT - Big Concern? Not really.

I weighed the Slee Belly Plate before installation--51lbs. Weighed the factory t-case skid and cross-member that came off, 18lbs. Subtract the old pieces from the new Slee belly pan and you're really only adding 33lbs.

I'll lug around another 33lbs for the piece of mind of not being stranded on the trail because of a cracked case. That's just me.

Nice work Slee!

I'll agree that it's a nice skid plate, but I don't think I'd be so bold as to say it's "full belly armor". How's your tranny pan looking? Still a little exposed I'll bet. Yeah, Slee's design is a nice flat skid surface, but theres a lot of area protected that needs no protection. I still like my "Creepersleeper designed and built" better. And it's a better price: $250.

I notched the prototype to clear the RH Metaltech slider on my wife's truck.

I have Metaltech sliders and am wondering if the production version will work with these sliders without modification?

Also, this might be a stupid question but here it goes...since the skid plate includes the belly pan and cross member all in one piece, and this plate covers all of the transmission, how can one support the transmission while at the same time dropping the belly pan to get at the transmission filter? :hhmm:
