Trail: Slaughterhouse Gulch click for info

Meeting Spot: Western Gas Station in Woodland Park @ 7:30 click for map

Luke was up there a few months back and noticed a lot of downed trees with new bypasses being formed. So, we're planning on some trail clearing on this run (chainsaws, winching trees off the trail, with me supervising ;)).

Here's an earlier discussion of this trip: https://forum.ih8mud.com/co-colorado-land-cruisers/793897-concerns-about-slaughterhouse-gulch.html

Who's Coming?!?!?!:steer:

- Travis
- Mr. Wonderful
- Greg
- Tonto!!!
- Andrew (doubtful: 15%)

Probably meet at 7:30, leave at 8:00? That's what I'm guessing,

some guys like earlier, some folks think 8:00 AM is half way through the day. I get up pretty early these days since the job change, so it don't matter to me.

FYI...

Just a little thought for those of us on the north side of the Springs. I goggled Slaughterhouse Gulch from my house... 2hrs 45mins through Woodland Park & 1hr 45min through Denver.

I'll be happy to drive the extra hour on the way up, but might consider taking the short way home depending on how the day goes.

You could go through Denver on the way up too, not as pretty, but we found that we can talk the whole way on one of the Denver repeaters. I'll have to check my repeater book to remember which one it was. It's a CRA repeater, can't remember the number.

CRA 147.225 Conifer mountain. It is in your memory files for anyone that has my program file. Also, the CRA link is in the HAM radio information thread. CRA also has a linked Cheyenne Mtn. repeater.

Hey, well... as long as I can still talk, right!?!? :hillbilly: (IH8MUD needs a little "Smilie" of a guy yapping away...just for me.:))

I really do like that drive up 24 to 285 (we take it all the time, up over Hoosier Pass, to get to the ski resorts), so I'll probably meet you guys in the morning. Unless there's a group that wants to leave from the north? Guess we can discuss it during Tuesday's meeting.

Oh I'm not scared! I even up armored!

Don't have any chains though, so that'll be entertaining

You're slacking Travis, could be you driving that 80 instead of figuring out how you're gonna rebuild 3/4 of a vehicle...

Lol, I'm just picking on you. We love your 55.

Can't make it. Sorry to miss out. Carrying chains sounds like a good idea. Please post lots of pictures. Luke, maybe you could write another great description. It's fun to for the rest of us to see and hear about club runs that we couldn't go on.
