I sold my tow rig but I have just secured a truck and car trailer to borrow from friends so I'd say I'm about 75% sure I'm going to TSF this year.

tillimook state forest?

I've been checking in with the guys in the Eugene and north area clubs;

Oregon BushHackers
and
Oregon Trail 4x4

you know about the cascade cruisers of course,

Club runs for 2009

big haul for most of you guys I know but being here weekends and R'burg working I figure I'll be the "rest of the state liaison" for the JSC.

these guys: Oregon BushHackers
are doing a run on March 21 at the Tillimook State Forest, they are mostly  Jeeps with some full size rigs and a handful of cruisers thrown in plus the usual mini-toys and sammy's

<Quote:>
It looks like March 21st is still the most popular date so let's make it
official and say the anniversary run will be March 21st at Browns camp
(TSF). Sorry Jim & Jarrod. It turns out that the weekend of the 28-29 wasn't
a good one anyway since they have a big work party scheduled.
The general plan is to meet at Browns camp in the morning and then split
into our separate groups. If it works out, a couple of the groups may meet
up for lunch. At the end of the day, those who want to may also meet up for
pizza in Banks.

The groups are:
The stock/easy group is for those with stock to slightly modified rigs or
those who just want to run the easier trails such as powerline and cedar
tree.

The medium group is for those rigs with some lift/improved ground clearance,
bigger tires and at least one locker or limited slip. This group will run
harder trails than the easy/stock group. Probably Firebreak 5 and part of
Archers.

The hard group is for those with large tires, lot's of ground clearance, 2
lockers and a winch. This group will run the hardest trials.

If you intend to come on the anniversary run and haven't yet told me which
group you want to run with, please do so. So far we have just over a dozen
people on the list so we have plenty of room for more.

FWIW:meh:

the OBH club is kinda scattered all over the PAC-NW, their forum is a yahoo blog.

I can't commit right now but could be persuaded; retro, does your buddy from Pdizzletown want to do a run up north, do you? anyone else interested in a TSF scouting/club hijack? anybody with connections that far north? Only guy I know still there sold his FJ60 last year, has a '66 2WD 'burban now but would ride along and spot:D

just doing the travel math in my head, would be ~3hours from Eugene for me, anyone in GPass and south, well........

I should be able to make a run up there :) Ill check with my friend as well.

cool, I'll make some calls and head that way the friday before and be there with boys fed and ready for action.:steer:

Hey Tim, I can't make that weekend. I Guess (or at least Im told) we have other plans :(

Let me know when the next run up there is, I would like to explore that area.

I can dig it; that's a haul for me at 3 hours, your location adds 2.5+ yes?

I'll keep looking at the clubs around here for fun runs; they run McGrew or have in the past, and they do some stuff around here like shotgun creek ORV park outside springfield, and low pass between eugene and the coast to the north a bit, but they are spread out into and around the PDX metro area.

These guys Oregon Trail 4x4 have a monthly meeting in the Eug I'll check out and post up.

i'm gonna hit up the TSF run with the OBH club on the 21st, will head out friday for coast range camping at it's finest, any takers here?:D

Take pics! Have fun! Wish I could join. Wifey needs me here that weekend :( or else I'd be rolling with ya.

Thank you Mr. President, Sir Moderator...whichever applies :)

damn,:o

just call me chatty cathy:flipoff2:

SINCE we still can't stay on track LMAO!

https://forum.ih8mud.com/ca-jefferson-state-cruisers/234040-club-sale-thread-11.html

Glad I don't have mine yet, that's my laziness. Baby coming on board in Sept. Happy tires and lift are done. Few parts on order. But rest is going to savings now. :princess: 's thankfully approved the chains from G.... safety first of course :D.

SO I may be sitting on what I have for awhile. Of course there is the steel yard and some filling Knolly's welder consums... I should be able to sneak under the table to get sliders done ;)

Hello Cruiser Heads... I just had a quick question and thought I would post it here. I was curoius if anyone in this club knows John Groves of Cruiser Parts in Grants Pass? He built my Cruiser back in 2002 and I have some questions I would like to ask him.

I have done some searches in IH8MUUD and the turn out has been minimal at best. From what I understand he still lives in the area.

I am in San Diego but I am from Crescent City. My parents live up there near Grants Pass now.

Thanks...:steer:

Yep know him well as I posted on your "page" here on mud. He is still doing Cruiser work here in GP.

Toy350, I did get your pm's thanks, Do you know if he is involved with IH8MUD or other TLCA forums? I would love to get in touch with him. I will try calling Cruiser Parts this week to see I can chat with him on the phone.

Thanks again for the reply.

No internet for John. He called me today and I let him know you were looking for him and he said to forward his number to you, but I assume you already have it since it hasn't ever changed.
