Could one drill a small hole for a cotter pin or a little safety Wire or even a little set screw? to keep this little cap in? Maybe solve/prevent the problem forever?

Hi all
I've done all this and my seat is still not working, when I fiddle around with the plastic tube that houses the slave motor axle it will give me a little whine from the motor but then nothing . The seats are all the way back so I know the rails are aligned
Anyone one else got any ideas ?maybe the motor doesn't have enough power left in it ?
Having worked on the seats recently, there doesn't seem to be much left except the motor. It really isn't that complicated. If you carefully measured the rails before your replaced the seats they should work fine.
