This is great to see  I was just coming in to bump the old thread but thanks for kicking up a new one Lenny. I've always wanted this to work out and thought is was the best place for our clubs to get together its great that its finally going to happen. We'll have Shrimp poboys and jalapeno hushpuppies Saturday night and if I can do a better job with the Satelite  in the open field at Deere Creek we'll have the games on. Deere Creek is no fancy facility but with hot showers, toilet, electricity and running water besides the beer and cajun food what else do we really need  I'm planning to check the boy out early and head that way Friday morning which would put me there around noon - 1 in the afternoon. I'll broadcast my cell number for any needing directions in. I have a few members coming in from the Northshore and its their first time to Sicily as well and will take them out that afternoon to show them around. Anyone wanting to come along is certainly welcome.

Nolan your right if it rains out there it gets really greasy on the trails but I'm counting on having some of this great weather we're having :) you'll appreciate the rocks so close to home.

Looking forward to it

Check this thread out on my local board.

My buddy Pat that has a full up comp buggy with 39" stickies said there was some stuff there that really worked him hard. He says it is a damn fun place.

WOOHOO!
Not looking to "put my thong on backwards and go balls out" but definitely need it to be fun riding! Which that looks fun!
I'll see if I can gets a co-pilot!

Looks like a father-son wheeling trip might be in order... if the weather is good. We may just drive the 40 down the Natchez Trace and up to SI. We would head out mid afternoon Friday. Is everyone camping or hotel-ing? We would definitely need a spot with electricity. Any cabins nearby?

I need to evaluate the GunRunner this weekend. I noticed a new/different noise from under the hood when unloading from the SCC. Maybe a belt? pulley? water pump?

Sure hope it all works out!

Sounds like a perfect time for it Lash. Most of my wheeling trips are with my son now 9 when he's able to come. He thinks we are a bunch of grown up Boy Scouts with cool rigs  at least thats what he tells his scout friends. From what I know all but one couple in our group is camping, hotels about 30 - 45 min away, no cabins nearby I'm aware of. Electricity shouldn't be an issue :)

Do I need to reserve a tent spot with power?
