Show me your tach!

I am looking at installing a tach on my pig and am NOT into the huge things they sell in the parts stores. I want something inconspicuous and classic looking. I do not want to modify the dash at all. So what kind of tach and where did you put it? Pictures please!

Here's mine. I like th smaller tachs and run one in my 40 but I had this one lying around from a truck I had stripped some time ago. It looks good and works fine. Out of the way and easily seen. Gary S

Kind of... I was considering using just the tach somehow but had not thought about using the entire thing. Could not figure out an elegant way of using just the tach. Would it fit? I have one laying around...

I doubt I would pass inspection without one. But I like how you think!

I've got the 3" diameter tach from advance auto. Cost $40 and you van hide it anywhere. I've got mine at the bottom left of the steering wheel...under the headlight switch. Works well enough...set the redline at 4k. Even that seems a little high.

I know a speedo is not required in Texas to pass inspection, not sure elsewhere...

I know this isn't what you were looking for, but I'm planning on going with one of these:

There is a perfect spot for it right between the gauges under the indicator lights

We use the tiny tach at work and I've thought about using one on the Cruiser. You can't replace the battery on the ones we use though
