I need to have my oil pump seal and valve cover seal replaced (95). The local shops I've spoken to don't want to work on something of this vintage with the complications that might arise, Torfab isn't an option for me. Any recommendations for reputable shops in Seattle or Shoreline would be appreciated. Thanks.

I had quite a bit of work done on our 2000 UZJ by Totem Lake Auto Care. Including valve cover gaskets, driveline work (rear axle seals, bearings, e-brakes etc.). The rear axle turned into a real bear with some seized parts. They stuck with it an didn't ding me too bad for the extra work above what was quoted.
They've got some LC-savvy techs. The owner is Caleb. Think he's got an 80 himself.

I was quoted 24 hours of labor yesterday to replace the oil pump seal, not including the valve cover seal. Real nice lady, shop with a great reputation, insane.
