shoes for hauling truck

I have a 99 dodge 3/4 ton Cummings, 2 wheel drive, that needs new tires. Had Yokohoma Geolanders that made it to 24k miles. Tire dealer is giving me $80 credit toward new tires, so I need to find something. Don't want to spend too much, as was not planning on this project.

Anyone have thoughts on these?

my vote is for the coopers. have Nitto Crosstec HD on my 98 cummins 2wd. more of a cost decision. I am surprised about the Geolanders, I almost got a set of those, they have really high numbers.

Probably a little late to the party, but 24k isn't too many miles for a set of tires on a 2wd truck like that.

Of the tires you listed, both those Falkens are more or less the same thing. I don't know why they have two of the "same" tires but I believe discount (see below) sells both. I have some experience with the Hankook Dynapro ATM. That thing is a sweet tire for a great price. A few of my friends rode around on 'em on their property and never got stuck with them. They both put like 20k miles on them before they sold their trucks.

With that said, if you want a little more "name brand," check out the Nitto Terra Grappler (or the Crosstec) and the Toyo AT II. They're certainly all terrains, but I am looking at nearly 50k out of my Terras whereas I was able to get only 38-40k on my BFG ATs before I ditched those.

Got this done. Yes discount tire direct ROCKS! They warrenteed my old tires, and gave me half my money to get new ones.

While they are on my 1/2 ton Tundra, I'd recommend the Nitto Terra Grapplers. My driving is nearly 100% highway and I've put 77,000 miles on them so far.
