Shifter difficulty

So my 1980 FJ40 has rather suddenly become very difficult to shift in 2H after just sitting in the garage for a week. Before taking it to the shop to have the master/slave clutch cylinder checked out, is there something obvious I may be missing?

Any puddles on the garage floor or floor boards under the floor mat?

Is it a sharp turn to get into the shed? With the hubs in and in 4H or L a sharp turn can bind up the transfer case. Put running rig in R, bounce on the clutch so the rig rocks back a foot or two - hold clutch in and see if it will shift into 2 H. Might take several rinse and repeat cycles.

What is the fluid level in clutch master. Bleed it once anyway 10 min job.

You should be doing simple work on your rig.
