One thing to note, that upper door frames will get bent outwards on occasion. This is especially true if you have a truck that somebody has called a locksmith for to unlock, they will wedge the door top to get to the lock and bend it out a bit. I found mine had had this done, I rolled the window down and gently shoved the top of the door frame inwards a couple of times. It was pretty noisy beforehand, and this tightened it up so it seated better.
That's a good tip, could you see a larger gap on the upper half of the door when closed?

Are the rollup front door windows adjustable, meaning can a tweek be had to snug the glass tighter when closed?
The upper door frame can be tweaked to fit tighter if you do it very carefully, but that should not affect the fit of the glass in the channel. If the glass isn't fitting the fuzzy channel seal anymore on the door, though, I believe you can still get that seal new. Those do wear out over time. I suppose the regulator could get some wear in it that could cause some looseness as well, something to check.

Got t-boned, an almost glancing blow to drivers side doors in Honduras. Repaired in Nicaragua but the then stuck drivers window which only went half way is not now returning to its original tight seating at the top ergo whistles at speed. Thats the reason for the interest to see if the glass has an up adjustment somewhere behind the door paneling. Thank you.

The metal part of the guide inside the door might be bent or not bolted tight. But nothing to adjust.

I'm trying to figure out which seal to replace on the driver side. Not sure if I should replace the door seal or the body side seal. The reason why is when I'm driving on semi rough roads I can see a little movement on the door so I'm not sure which seal would help with that

Problem is probably going to be the door hinge. Seals won't fix door movement. Also, body side tan-color seals are not available anymore, just FYI for anyone reading.

Anyone ever replace the main weather seal on the rear hatch? Mine seems to be the culprit of letting in way too much dust. Maybe the other seals nearby also need to be swapped. The rear AC seems to suck in a lot of the dust and if I'm not running that it all just lingers into the nearby drawer and all my bedding up on the platform.

Do you pretty much just remove and replace, or is there some sort of goop back there holding everything together.

I replaced all the door frame weatherstripping on my 80 series and it was one of the easiest and most satisfying updates I did on that vehicle. The doors closed with a more secure sound, no more random leaks and it took me all of 30 minutes.

No goop, just mini-clips.

Another option is P/N 67881-60111 (I think it supercedes 60110) should work for the rear cargo main seal and impex has it for $74.

I just replaced about every rubber seal on my 2006 and impex was significantly cheaper for almost every seal.

Some of these seals from Toyota do have a sealant of some kind inside the groove.

Good catch , yeah it all seems to supercede to the number you referenced . I forgot to check impex

Does the sealant you mentioned come within the gasket groove already or do you add some if needed ? The video I posted showed a bit of goop on that rear hatch seal but it didnt really seem like sealant

I call it sealant but it's almost more of a grease. It's non hardening as far as I can tell. I didn't need to add anything to the seal.

Do you know what Impex dinged you for shipping? I'm not a big fan of the buy the parts now, learn the shipping cost later concept. I've got a quote from Amayama for $270 parts + shipping.

Impex is $150 for parts but if their shipping calculator estimates that it may be more than my other option.

I had 2 large back to back orders with Impex. The order with weatherstripping and other small items was around $800 in parts, shipping was $150. Larger and heavier items are what will kill you on shipping in my experience.

I've placed probably a dozen orders with impex over the last 18 months and found shipping to be reasonable and fair. Even shipping control arms the end cost came out way cheaper than anything stateside.

OK finally replaced my rear tailgate weather stripping. Not much to note other than the new seal is significantly plusher than my old compressed seal, so I'm hoping this solved the dust problem.

Not much else to add...Replacing the seal on the upper tailgate hatch was easy since it's held in by clips.

Take your time with the main seal and mark where the position of the reinforced seal is positioned. In my experience the pink line is meant to line up in the center bottom. Sorry, forgot to take pictures.

The old seal left behind a bunch of gunk that needed to be cleaned up / rubber eraser wheeled off before installing the new seal. $250 shipped from Amayama
