haven't looked at one in a while, but is there room to slip a small left handed drill bit in there ?

if so, you could try to lever it in with a bar ( dimple the bar with a slightly larger drill bit, so the l/h drill bit stays put) to put lots of pressure on bit, then turn bit with a pair of vicegrips until it bites and starts to cut. at some point during this the cutting should make the bolt back out...if you're lucky.

Dam good idea! I can picture it exactly. Home now time to mess with it.

Well I got it out.

But I’m not proud about it. First I tried @seapotato reverse drill bit method but my bolt wasent sheared off square. the drill bit would want to walk off into the threads. So I tried the short weld rod in the hole and hit it with the clamp. Well that F’in didn’t go well. I was trying to hold the rod in the center of the hole strait. Well I hit it with the clamp and fumbled it. Burned the first top thread in the hole... so frustrated me got to thinking if it snapped once it could snap again... So I took a punch and mini sledge and drove the center pin out.

Actually was petty easy.

but not recommended it messed the carrier up.

Oh well can’t win all the time.

BFH for the WIN!!! Actually nice to know this worked, ya know - for next time. :)
What ratio is that?
Edit: Just curious as to what the common consensus is on how much, if any damage that might do to the carrier end bearings?

Looks like a 4.1?

Yeah 4.1 not sure about the bearings I actually didn’t have to hit it as hard as I though I would have to I assumed the pin would be hardened but I guess not.

I wouldn’t trust a new pinion shaft pin in that messed up hole. Maybe as well as a pin put a tac weld on the end of the center pin and carrier? Probably won’t run it I have others.

Thanks for the suggestions!
