I am digging deep into storage to get to shelving I need to consolidate after the warehouse fire. While none of the parts in this location were in the fire, they are part of my overstock fire sale.

I have a box of 15 gas pedals, all 1974-80. FJ40 and 55 series. Pedal comes with mounting bracket and spring. THEY DO NOT COME WITH THE RED RUBBER BOOT.

Pedals are $90 each plus the ride. Pedals with boots are $125. No PMs please.

@65swb45;

I need your guidance (and hopefully a gas pedal that works) about how best to deal with this 'mismatch' situation.

I have a '73 FJ40 with the cable throttle linkage going to the OEM carb with bellcrank (which you provided) but the mounting holes on the firewall don't match the mounting holes on my gas pedal pivot bracket. Below is the picture with the bracket I have mounted to the firewall with one screw, showing the missing hole, and the available hole higher up on the firewall, below the throttle cable opening, with an M8 screw in it.

Is there a pedal assembly that has a cable end that will work, or a pivot bracket that will allow my existing bracket to work?

If so, do you have one to offer?

Thanks,

Kevin.

Sorry, I actually took a couple of minutes to check the stockroom this afternoon, and I don't have any more 1973 pedals to compare. But I do recall there being something different. And besides, it's a reminder that I bought some pedals from @girraffe back on Dec 3rd:hmm: that have not arrived yet.

@65swb45 ,

I should have posted more pictures. the top of my pedal (shown) lines up square with the throttle cable opening. I was wondering if there was a later (than '73) pedal, with a cable connector top, that would use the mounting holes I noted in my first post.

Here are three more pictures, showing the pedal I have (and dis-assembled for cleanup)

That bolt spacing sure looks like a 74 and newer linkage style.

I’ve got a freebie hacked pedal I send you with your next order. Cruiser Karma care of @Vintij74, who left it behind when I sanitized his linkage a while back.
