Seat Cusion for BJ70

Hello to All

I have been searching for a new driver side cusion and seat cover for my BJ70. After checking with Toyota dealers a couple of times they told me that those parts are no longer available for that model year. I went to the Toyota dealership in Barrie and the parts guy found that a fork lift uses the same part # 71502-90K02 for the foam cusion. The cost is $124.60 each. Im waiting for the parts (Coming from Japan). The seat cover should be easy to fix but Im sure it will not look like the original. Hope this helps someone who needs a new cusion.

I think a curent model 7* series would work. I think the frames are pretty much the same as the 85 models.
Apparently there are also aftermarket foam replacements out there too

Contact Sheldon at G&S cruisers, I bought new front seats out of a JDM 74 for my 1985 BJ70 and they are an exact fit. Last time I was there he had 9 or 10 sets. The frames are the same but the backs are reversed, I took my backs out of my old seats put their bases and foam on the old back and they came out as new. I think he charged my $75.00 per seat. They will bend over backwards to help.

Sorry guys it looks as if that part # is gonzo. Just got a phone call today saying that tha part # is discontinued. Sorry for anybody who had hopes oon getting that part from Toyota. I will try some of the other suggestions in the previous posts. Thanks to All for the info.

Maybe Not Gone After All

Last week I got a phone call from Toyota and guess what. The driver side seat cusion came in. It took a while, $140 out the door. Make sure to ask them to search the part # for Toyota Tow Motor!
